The 2014 COST Nanospectroscopy Training School took place in Rome, Italy, on September 24-26, 2014.
The program consisted in three training days with introductory talks on the background and the science behind the techniques, and hands-on experiments on the respective instruments.
- Day 1: Scanning Tunneling Microscopy STM
- Day 2: Atomic Force Microscopy AFM
- Day 3: Scanning Near-Field Microscopy SNOM
The program can be downloaded here.
The Training School was open to all Working Group Members of the COST Action and their group members, but mostly aimed at graduate students and Early Stage Researchers who wish to broaden their experimental expertise, or apply additional analytical tools to learn more about their samples.
Registration and participation were free of charge.
Partial financial support to Trainees was granted through COST Action MP1302 Nanospectroscopy.
The number of participants was strictly limited to ensure an effective training.
